Maré  island is a former coral atoll which over time has risen and given rise to the Natural Aquarium, the Sink Hole, the honeycombed coral caves, and pools.

Discovering Mare is above all about meeting its people and the feelings experienced.

 

Nengone Village is the only upmarket hotel of Mare Island, it offers spacious and comfortable bungalows which feature local timbers along a boardwalk. There's a lovely pool by the restaurant. Rental bicycles and kayaks are available.  Don’t miss the island tour organised by Nengone Village Hotel.
